I hate weevils. I have black sunflower stem weevils, and if I'm not vigilant, every last sunflower will be deadheaded right before it blooms. Sorry, I squish those guys.
ReplyDeleteThat's okay, if they go past a determined threshold of damage then the population may need to be manually reduced. I wonder who preys on weevils?

ReplyDeleteYes they devoured the Wild White Indigo flowers one year. I have not seen them in as high a numbers again.
